Billy May's Big Fat Brass
Brass Pack performs original arrangements by Colin Skinner, inspired by the iconic Billy Mays Big Fat Brass. With their impeccable musicianship and energy, this ensemble effortlessly captures the essence of the era, delivering a performance that is both nostalgic and fresh. You'll be transported to a time when big bands ruled the airwaves. The rich harmonies, dynamic melodies, and intricate rhythms will have you tapping your feet and swaying to the irresistible groove.
With two sold out performances under their belt already at Harrogate International Festival in July, and Snape Maltings Summer Festival in August 2023, Mike Lovatt's Brass Pack is looking to take this incredible ensemble to a concert hall near you! After so many comments from audience members stating this must be recorded, plans are afoot to do just that at Abbey Road Studios in London, hopefully in the spring of 2024 - we just need to find some hard earned pennies to make this happen!
